Liv O'Donoghue

Liv O'Donoghue is an Irish-Norwegian choreographer and performer based in Dublin. She trained as a dancer in the UK before returning to Ireland in 2008. Since then she has worked with several dance, theatre and opera companies including the Abbey Theatre, Irish National Opera, Liz Roche Company, Irish Modern Dance Theatre, United Fall, junk ensemble, and Dead Centre, touring widely throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA. As a maker, her work has been shown throughout Ireland, as well as abroad, touring to the UK, France, Norway, Sweden, USA, Latvia, Austria and Italy. In 2014, Liv was selected as the Irish artist for Communicating Dance, a Creative Europe leadership programme. She has undertaken residences at the Centre Culturel Irlandais (Paris), TanzQuartier Wien (Vienna), CSC Bassano del Grappa (Italy), and DanceHouse Lemesos (Cyprus). Liv was an inaugural Associate Artist of Dance Ireland. She has been a board member of Project Arts Centre since 2015 and sits on the Steering Committee of the National Campaign for the Arts. She is also a founding member of Cli-Mates, a grassroots advocacy group of artists and creative thinkers for climate action.
